THIS SATURDAY JULY 26th: Comedy Night "Work in Progress w/ Dre" Venmo @Annalaura-Lyon for tickets ($10/ticket). Doors 630p, show starts 7pm.
The main event involves a bucket, slits of paper, and a pen. There will be a dry erase board telling people what to do with that. The audience, before the show starts, will have time to write down their own jokes and place them in the bucket. Whether that be a joke they’ve heard before or a brand new joke they think could be funny. When the main event starts I’ll draw one joke out of the bucket at a time and deliver their jokes. If it lands, GREAT! If it bombs, EVEN BETTER, because it’s my job to fix that joke and make it work, live. If they wanna remain anonymous, that’s fine, however, if they decide to take ownership of the joke, we’ll take a Polaroid together, write the punchline at the bottom of it, and I’ll put it in a photo album. I’ll bring that album to every show so audience members can look through it while they wait for the show to begin.
